At the end of the 1960'th the ring was closed. The
Swedish Lucia version was imported back to Italy and
the 13. of December 1968 a little blond Swedish girl
went in front at a Lucia procession in Verona. The
virgin from Syracuse had returned to Italy.

The translation sounds like this:
The silver star shines on the sea,
The waves are calm,
the wind is favorable
Come to my quick little boat!
Santa Lucia! Santa Lucia!
The text above has notihimng to do with the sacred
Lucia. Gunnar Wennerberg head the song in in Iyaly
in the beginning of the 20th centuary and wrote down
the nodes. In 1920 he made a new text for it, and the
Lucia song as we know it to day was born.
